Pipe Dream

As per usual, a 2-week project that I managed to finish in 6 months. Watch out, I'll be quite the hot shit in 200 years. Had a lot of fun setting up a procedural system to generate the pipe system, followed by indecision-hell trying to pick my favourite seed. Modelling in Blender, scatter/rendering in Clarisse, comp in Nuke, dmp in Photoshop. The modelling of the pipe variants was actually quite manual on my part, If I was a better technical artist I probably could have set up something awesome with curves, etc, but instead I chimp powered through it. Went for a super rgb colour pallete, because why not. As always, a myriad of things that I don't like, and I might ninja edit this to adjust some of them over the coming days, but overall I like it :)

final (?). wips below, sort of chronologically. I think there was some merit to some of the simpler early looks as well, more stylized etc. but I'm too addicted to detail to be able to stop myself there
